The first meeting of Longview Council 2771 was called to order by District Deputy J. M. Dillon on December 21, 1936 with 40 charter members. The Longview Council was organized by members of St. Anthony Catholic Church. Council 2771 currently has over 100 Brothers and serves the parishes of St. Anthony and St. Mathew, Longview, St. Teresa of the Infant Child Jesus, Gladewater and St. Francis of Assisi, Gilmer.
